YABATECH is set to left the suspension placed on the Student Union Government (SUG) in the college.
Rector of the institution, Engr. Obafemi Omokungbe stated this during a visit to his office by the executives NANS.
The 8-man NANS delegation was led by its Chairman, Comrade Busari Abiola. NANS expressed concern about Yabatech students not being represented in NANS. They also appealed to the management to work towards the return of Yabatech to the mainstream of the association.
He agreed the ban preceded his tenure and assures its restoration of the SUG
He informed the guests that students at the college are actively participating internally in the administration of the College.
In another development, the college has been awarded a $100,000 Ford Foundation Project Grant for the development of an Art Museum Project for the College.
Prof. Paul Nwulu, Senior Programme Officer of Ford Foundation who was in the College to flag off the project disclosed that the partnership between Yabatech and Ford Foundation is that of progress and development.
